Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-21. Effective: 2026-09-21. Version 2026-09-21. What SelfBid collects, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are and how to reach us
SelfBid is operated by Veksa, Eswari Ubbala, Veksa, Sarada Nagar 5th Lane, Door No. 20-480, Narsipatnam, Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh 531116, India, which decides what personal data this service collects and why.
Write to selfbidsupport.lol@gmail.com about anything here. Eswari Ubbala is our Grievance Officer, at that address or by post to us. Grievance redressal has the full route.
SelfBid is for adults, 18 and over. If we learn a buyer was under 18, we remove the post, refund the payment, and delete what we hold about them.
Parts of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 are not yet in force. We follow this policy now, and nothing here takes away a right Indian law gives you.
What we collect
There is no account to create. We collect these because you post, because you pay, or because you visited.
- Your post — the statement, the subject you typed, the category, any link or handle.
- Your public identity — a display name, or an Anonymous #NNNN label we give the post.
- Your placement — the amount paid, when it was verified, and the position held.
- Payment records — the provider's reference, whether the payment succeeded, the amount, the date, the method, and an email address if the provider sends one.
- Your network address, in two reduced forms — a keyed one-way hash, and a truncated prefix such as 203.0.113.0 or an IPv6 address cut to its /48. The full address is never written to our database.
- What your browser sends — the page and time, your user-agent string, a coarse device class, the country and region your network reports, the site you came from, and a visitor hash that changes daily.
- What you write to us — support messages, grievances and reports about a post.
- Decision records — what was decided about a post, when, and what caused it.
Why we collect it
That data is used for these purposes and nothing else.
- To publish your post and rank it on the amount paid.
- To take payment, show a receipt, and pay a refund when one is owed.
- To check a submission against the Content Rules before publication.
- To answer you, and to act on reports and grievances.
- To stop fraud, stolen-card use and automated posting.
- To count visits, and to meet tax, accounting and other legal duties.
What is public on the board
Your post, the category, any link, the identity you chose, the amount paid, the position and the time are public. Search engines may index them.
Anonymous #NNNN is anonymous to the public only. It hides your display name and any email address, not the post, the amount, the time, or our record joining payment to post.
A distinctive amount at a distinctive time can still point back to you.
Treat a post as permanent. We can take it off our board, not out of copies other people saved.
Do not put private details in a post — yours or anyone else's. That breaks the Content Rules.
Payments
Payment is taken by our payment provider. You enter your card, UPI or net-banking details on its own checkout page, never on a SelfBid form.
We never receive your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, OTP or net-banking password. We do not hold your card network, the last four digits or your UPI handle, and we never ask for your phone number.
our payment provider handles what you enter under its own privacy policy, which we cannot instruct it about.
Decisions made automatically
Every submission is checked against the Rules before it goes on the board. If it is not published, you are refunded in full.
The check is given the submission and nothing else: the statement, the subject, any link or handle, the identity you chose and the category. It is not given your email address, your payment details or your network address.
Some of these checks are automatic. You can ask us to look at any decision again. Asking does not affect your refund: a submission we do not publish is refunded in full either way.
To ask, write to selfbidsupport.lol@gmail.com with the tracking id on your receipt, or use Grievance redressal.
How long we keep it
We keep a record longer where a complaint, a payment dispute or the law requires it.
- Posts, identities and placements — while the post is on the board, and three years after it comes off.
- Payment records — as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
- Request records — 180 days. Page views — 90 days.
- Messages, reports and decision records — three years from the last message. A complaint and what we did about it are never deleted.
Who else sees it, and if something goes wrong
Your data is not sold and not rented, and never goes to advertisers or data brokers. No ad network, no outside analytics, no behavioural tracking, no profiling for ads.
Outside providers: our payment provider for payment, a hosting provider for the records, an email provider for our mailbox, and accountants or lawyers where needed. Some store data outside India, within the limits the law sets.
An operator sees the truncated prefix, the device class, the country, the region and the referring site. The hash is never shown.
We hand data to a court, the police, a regulator or a tax authority only on a valid legal request, and only as far as it covers.
We use encryption in transit, restricted database access and logged admin access, and claim no certification or seal we do not hold. If data is exposed, we will tell the people affected and the authority what happened and what you can do.
Your rights, and how to ask
Write to selfbidsupport.lol@gmail.com and say what you want. Write from the email address used at checkout, or quote the payment reference or your tracking id.
We answer within 30 days of confirming who you are. If you are not satisfied, use Grievance redressal, or complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Your address is held only as a hash and a prefix, so a request about it has nothing to act on. Publishing your post is how we deliver what you bought, so withdrawing consent does not unpublish it.
To take down your post, write to us with the link. Removal does not by itself create a refund — see the Refund Policy.
The requests you can make:
- A copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction of data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion of data we need not keep.
- Withdrawal of a consent. We rely on consent for nothing today.
- Someone you name to act for you if you cannot.
- A second look at how we handled a request.
Version history
Newest first. Your purchase records the version in force when you paid. Old versions are never edited — a change gets a new version.
- Version 2026-09-21 — in force
Rewritten shorter and plainer: 24 sections become 9. Itemises what is collected and why, adds what happens if data is exposed, and says plainly that parts of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 are not yet in force. Removes what was never true: an age confirmation at checkout, card and UPI details we do not hold, a phone number we never ask for, and translations that do not exist. - Version 2026-09-20
Corrects the description of how the board is ordered: ranking reflects paid placement and nothing else, with no operator-placed exception above it. - Version 2026-09-18
Adds the pre-publication check: that a submission is checked before publication, that the check is given the submission and none of your contact, payment or network details, and that you can ask us to look at any decision again. - Version 2026-09-17
Describes what is actually recorded about a request — a hashed address, a truncated network prefix, a coarse device class, the country the network reports, the referring site and the page visited — why it is kept, for exactly how long, and that there is no third-party analytics and no tracking cookie. - Version 2026-09-16
First published version.
